Playing Ketchup

I've been playing ketchup for what seems to be most if not all of my work. Work work, school work, house work, it's exhausting trying to get back where you need to be. We all do it though. In some shape or form we put things aside. Whether we realize it or not for better or for worse things get forgotten or put off because you don't have the means or time to finish it.  When it comes down to it though they are almost always some legitimate reason that you left something behind at least in that moment. Anyway that's my rant about myself to try and get me motivated because i am running out of excuses.  Good day all.
The drawings posting aren't before and after they are two different drawings. I wasn't satisfied with the first one so I drew another and got it right or at least in my opinion I did. Unfortunately I still have not learned how to break free of my drawing and scan them as I go.  So here it is. For the final I left the page tear to show that i had to bleed over into the next page to finish the drawing. I went a little to big and ran off the page.

Slow going...

This week has been kind of slow. At work and at home it seems as if everybody is in slow motion including me. I sketched a bit but it's really not much a foot for my wife which mine but she still won't have it.  She hates feet. As you can see my feet probably aren't the greatest specimens.

Getting into the swing

So, so far so good as they say, my scanner has been treating me to full scans without having to restart my computer a million times. So far I have uploaded about 20 odd drawings and sketches and not once has it failed to scan.  I do not want to jinx myself so let's keep our fingers crossed and pretend I never posted about it.  This time around I am working on idea I have a for another set of cornhole tables for my friend. It's not complete but my sketch has been erased on the final as I am almost done with the ink. The smaller one was an early drawing that i sketched but it still has some sketch in it if you look close enough. If you are having trouble reading it, it says "Go Squad".

Stuck on stippling... Oh well

This one was for my wife a memorial tattoo

It would seem that I cannot get away from stippling. I mentioned before it just sucks me in. It's funny as I am drawing I am thinking and not doing.  I thought as I went through my process I would post scan of the sketch, inking with outlines and different pen point widths, and the final. Just so you could see my process if you were at all curious.  Unfortunately as I am drawing I get sucked in and cannot pause for a scan, and before I know it I am finished. So here are some of my finished drawings I have done recently.
Just doodling

This is was a sketch for set of cornhole boards

This "week"

Honest as they come
This week one of my friends was picking my brain about a strategy game he was trying to develop like risk with Abraham Lincoln being one of the characters in it. So that led me to draw him. Not much to him pretty normal drawing of him it's nearly finished. This is one of my favorite techniques for finishing a drawing. While drawing the initial sketch is rather fast, the ink work is or can be monotonous. I enjoy it, it makes me relax and almost sucks me into the drawing to where it's just me and the page floating in my imagination.

Little late

May I say sorry first of all for not starting this sooner.
I am having trouble with my scanner so please forgive the sharpness of the file of my sketches. I may have to start taking pictures of them because my scanner is not working as well or even working at all at times. This week I started a study of hands. They are not very realistic but they are what I wanted to draw. A sort have cartoon half real or perhaps surreal.  All of these are of my own hands down to a scar I received when I fell on a piece of glass in the third grade while playing flag football.
